How is computer diagnostics carried out
A scanner with complex and necessary software is connected via special diagnostic connectors to your port systems, it is this scanner that reads all the codes transmitted by the car. All received codes are decrypted by a specialist using programs. Based on all the information received, a conclusion is drawn about all failures or malfunctions of your car. Computer diagnostics can be divided into several stages:
Checking the engine and all its electronic systems. Such a check is carried out if you begin to notice that the engine has increased fuel consumption, power loss, extraneous noise, the engine starts poorly, and the engine warms up for a long time. If the “Check Engine” error appears on the dashboard, this is a sign that there are some problems with the engine, which is why it is worth diagnosing all systems: injection systems, electronics, compression is measured.
Automatic transmission check. The automatic transmission (Automatic transmission) should be checked if one of the gears does not turn on, if noise or slippage is noticed, if you notice an oil leak. During diagnostics, the error codes of the automatic transmission control unit are read, the readings of the working fluid temperature and throttle position sensors are evaluated, as well as the position of the automatic transmission selector.
Suspension check. The suspension is checked only if uneven rubber wear has been noticed, knocks or hums are heard during sharp turns. If you notice a skid on the rear or front axle when cornering, ABS is also a sign that the suspension is not working properly. For this, a similarity disorder is checked on a computer stand.
