Diagnosis of injection engines

Diagnostics of diesel fuel equipment and also prevention is the most important, if not one of the most important causes of diesel car breakdowns. This type of diagnostics allows you to identify and solve problems with excessive fuel consumption and unstable engine operation.

The main causes of diesel engine malfunctions are:

  1. Untimely and unqualified technical maintenance (fuel system).
  2. Violation of engine operation modes.
  3. Use of low-grade fuel or oil
  4. Natural wear of parts and assemblies during operation

In most cases, it is the malfunction of the high pressure fuel equipment that causes the breakdown of diesel vehicles.

With regular diagnostics and subsequent maintenance repairs, you can significantly reduce fuel overconsumption and extend the service life of a diesel engine by 15-20%. A normally operating fuel system supplies fuel continuously with good atomization in the cylinder. The presence of water and mechanical impurities in the fuel significantly affects the operation of the fuel system.

The operating rules are determined by the terms of periodic monitoring, and, if necessary, restoration of the fuel system.

Good fuel atomization is characterized by the following criteria:

  1. foggy state of fuel in the jet (fuel atomization)
  2. Absence of separate flowing drops and local thickening of fuel, different by the eye
  3. Harsh sound when injecting
  4. No fuel leakage when the jet exits the spray holes before starting and ending the injection.
