Diesel or gasoline

There is no definite answer. It all depends on the specific car brand. Two types of engines, in this case diesel and petrol, convert chemical energy into mechanical energy, but do it in different ways.

Diesel will require less fuel than petrol. However, the petrol engine is more powerful.

Noises. Due to the high compression ratio of the fuel, the diesel creates more noise, but the situation is saved by the good sound insulation of the car.

Exhausts. A diesel engine is considered more environmentally friendly. They are equipped with particulate filters to minimize the impact on the environment.

Safety. Since diesel fuel takes longer to evaporate, the chance of fire is minimized. In addition, the ignition system is not used in diesel units.

Exploitation. In theory, a diesel engine is more durable due to its robust cylinder block, crankshaft, and cylinder head. However, it depends directly on the quality of the fuel used. A diesel engine, unlike a petrol engine, does not tolerate low temperatures, but this can be solved - using special types of fuel, or installing heating systems.
